This job opportunity is for a part-time Merchandiser position servicing the Castroville, CA area. As a Merchandiser, you will have the important responsibility of ensuring fresh bakery products are properly stocked and displayed in local grocery stores and retail accounts. This role plays a crucial part in customer satisfaction by making sure that shelves and displays are always appealing and well-stocked. The position offers an average of 20 hours per week, providing flexibility to enjoy your free time while earning a competitive starting wage of $21.50 per hour. The Merchandiser will be responsible for maintaining the bread aisle and display areas by stocking products according to standards while also keeping the back-room inventory neat and organized. Rotating products according to color codes to ensure freshness is another important task of the role, ensuring customers always receive top-quality items. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to lift or push/pull up to 50 pounds. In some locations, those fulfilling this role may also have to drive a Department of Transportation regulated route truck, which requires candidates to be 21 years or older and meet strict DOT requirements including holding a Medical Card and passing a Road Test.
