The company is currently hiring for the position of Merchandiser based in the Boise, Idaho area with competitive pay ranging from $17.00 to $18.00 per hour depending on experience. This role requires travel primarily within the local area and involves overnight stays with hotel accommodations and per diem provided. The Merchandiser plays a crucial role in ensuring that the customer’s stores are properly priced, stocked, and merchandised according to established plan-o-grams. The position reports directly to the Merchandising Manager responsible for the geographical area it serves.

As a Merchandiser, your daily responsibilities will include driving a company-provided vehicle to various customer locations where you will meet with store personnel, place merchandise efficiently, and maintain clean, well-organized shelves and displays to optimize sales. An essential aspect of this role is identifying products that do not sell well or have been discontinued for particular customers and making educated recommendations to improve product offerings and boost profitability. The Merchandiser must maintain excellent communication skills to report any customer needs or potential store-level issues to management promptly.

This role demands a blend of teamwork and independent initiative, requiring self-motivation and a strong attention to detail. Physical activity is involved, including lifting products that range from 5 to 25 pounds frequently throughout the workday and potentially lifting cases up to 70 pounds. Candidates must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record over the past three years, a valid and current driver's license, auto insurance, and be able to pass background screenings and drug testing.

Job Duties

  • Service assigned stores as scheduled daily
  • providing excellent customer service
  • provide merchandising, stocking, pricing, shelf facing, stock rotating, and product and shelf cleaning at customer locations
  • arrange store shelves or display areas as required by each store
  • monitor potential account problems at the store level and report to sales and/or sales manager when required
  • maintain safe store aisles
  • maintenance of assigned equipment
  • reporting hours to division on provided time sheets
  • perform other related duties as assigned
