Job Description
USA Weightlifting is the national governing body for the sport of weightlifting in the United States, dedicated to promoting strength, athleticism, and a passion for the barbell. The Membership Services Coordinator role is a full-time, non-exempt position based in Colorado Springs, hybrid remote, at USA Weightlifting's national office located in the Olympic Sport House. This role is essential in supporting the organization’s mission to grow the sport and serve its membership through operations and administration related to membership services, grassroots programs, and coach development initiatives. The coordinator plays a significant role in enhancing the member experience by delivering exceptional customer service and operational support for membership and event management. They act as a primary point of contact for members, coaches, clubs, and Weightlifting State Organizations, ensuring seamless communication and support via multiple channels including phone, email, and digital platforms.
The role also supports the execution of major national events, providing in-person operational assistance and managing event logistics such as registration, sanctioning, and results management. The Membership Services Coordinator contributes to the continuous improvement of USA Weightlifting's customer relationship management (CRM) and membership technologies by testing new features, documenting processes, and assisting with system upgrades. Additionally, they compile and analyze membership data, providing insights into customer service performance, membership growth, retention, and engagement trends to help guide organizational strategy.
Periodic domestic travel is required to support national events, and the position offers a competitive hourly wage between $20.00 and $23.00 depending on qualifications and experience. Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- deliver exceptional customer support to members coaches clubs and weightlifting state organizations through phone email and digital support channels
- provide operational support for membership grassroots and coach development programs ensuring a positive and seamless member experience
- develop maintain and enhance usa weightlifting's library of member resources including tutorial videos infographics faqs and membership guides
- identify opportunities to improve the member experience by creating new educational resources and support tools for members and clubs
- support the ongoing enhancement of usaw's crm and membership technology platforms by testing new features documenting processes tracking projects and assisting with system improvements
- monitor and analyze customer support performance metrics within zendesk including response times and ticket trends
- maintain support automations workflows and knowledge base content to improve efficiency and service quality
- track analyze and communicate key membership metrics including growth retention reactivation and engagement trends to support organizational decision making
- assist with reporting and data analysis that helps identify opportunities to improve member experience operational effectiveness and program participation
- leverage ai and emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency reporting and member support processes
- coordinate fulfillment and shipping of membership materials certificates awards and other items as needed from the national office
- support event registration sanctioning and results management through usaw's membership and event management platform
- provide operational support at five national events per year
- assist with special projects and additional responsibilities that support usaw's strategic goals and membership growth initiatives
