Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
  • flexible availability including weekends, evenings, and some holidays
  • good organizational and verbal skills
  • basic computer skills including MS Office programs
  • effective public speaking and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work indoors and outdoors
  • ability to handle physical tasks such as bending, stooping, walking, climbing stairs
  • availability to work at both sales gallery and resort amenity center
  • must be able to respond appropriately to emergency situations

Job Qualifications

  • proficiency in Microsoft Office including Publisher, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel

Job Duties

  • greet members and guests as they enter, check ID cards, assist with event set-ups, respond promptly to communications, and follow through on commitments made to others
  • provide outstanding service to members and their guests professionally and courteously
  • respond calmly and tactfully to problem situations and discuss concerns constructively
  • answer questions about the lifestyles program and recommend events, shows, and functions for members to attend
  • write routine reports and correspondence
  • speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
  • demonstrate exceptional customer service when communicating with other departments, members, guests, and vendors
  • maintain a safe and friendly environment for members, guests, and staff
  • work as a team with the lifestyles department to create and promote fun and exciting programs
  • assist in room set-up and break-down for events
  • assist lifestyle manager in event preparation, promotions, and functions including set-up and breakdown of props
  • perform light housekeeping duties as needed
  • inspect grounds for litter and activities
  • notify management of areas needing attention
  • understand emergency preparedness and respond appropriately
  • replenish desk forms
  • prepare monthly reports and vendor check requests
  • increase programming attendance by tracking member and guest participation
  • establish and maintain staff schedules and communicate with independent contractors
  • read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals
  • answer telephone and greet prospective buyers in the sales gallery
  • maintain event registration calendar
  • create and update records for accuracy
  • perform administrative tasks as needed
  • assist in preparing articles and calendar events for the lifestyle magazine
  • contact members and guests about new programs
