Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Assist management with supervision of associates by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training associates on processes and procedures, providing direction on member service approaches to resolve complaints, ensuring compliance with company policies, supporting the Open Door Policy, participating in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates
  • Communicate and support membership by providing information on membership types, programs, and benefits to current and prospective members, processing memberships and upgrades, encouraging renewals, participating in sales and marketing events, completing marketing recaps, striving to meet membership goals, promoting Sam's Club products and services
  • Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, assisting with purchases, locating merchandise, supporting self-service technology use, assisting with transactions at registers and self-checkout, ensuring club pick up orders are filled
  • Oversee assigned area by handling claims and returns, zoning, arranging merchandise, identifying shrink and damages, organizing carts and flatbeds, assisting members in transporting items, using cart retrieval equipment, maintaining parking lot cleanliness
  • Complete accounting records and transactions, provide funds for registers, prepare daily deposits and cash fund transfers, investigate overages and shortages, maintain confidentiality and accuracy of financial information
  • Develop and implement processes and practices to meet business needs through collaboration, analyzing information, monitoring progress, identifying improvement opportunities
  • Demonstrate and support compliance with company policies, ethics, and standards by explaining and guiding associates, implementing action plans, using the Open Door Policy, assisting management in resolving issues
  • Lead and participate in teams by sharing resources, determining customer needs, coordinating work assignments, providing feedback and support, modeling adaptability to change
