Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
prior retail or cashier experience preferred
ability to operate cash registers and self-checkout technologies
basic math and computer skills
ability to provide excellent customer service
ability to stand for extended periods
strong attention to detail
good communication skills
ability to multitask in busy environments
flexibility to work varied shifts including holidays and weekends

Job Qualifications

experience in customer service or retail including operating front end equipment such as cash registers
ability to work with mobile retail applications

Job Duties

Maintain safety of facility according to company policies and procedures by conducting safety sweeps
follow forklift spotting procedures
follow procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials
follow company steel standard guidelines
correct and report unsafe situations to facility management
provide member service by acknowledging members and identifying their needs
assist members with purchasing decisions
locate merchandise
resolve member issues and concerns
promote the company’s products and services
provide guidance and support to members regarding self-service technology
process member purchases
assist members with payments according to company policies and procedures
assist members with transactions utilizing registers or self-checkout areas
zone the area
arrange and organize merchandise
comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity
complete work assignments by using policies, data, and resources
collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners
identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations
carry out tasks and communicate progress
determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities
adapt to and learn from changes, difficulties, and feedback
maintain a positive attitude by smiling, greeting, and thanking members
provide exceptional customer service across the club
