Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in customer service or sales
  • ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Documents
  • ability to multitask and prioritize duties
  • must work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • must pass background checks including criminal, CPS, and drug testing
  • must complete required employee training
  • ability to stand or sit for long periods
  • maturity and good judgment
  • effective team-building and leadership capabilities

  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • ability to work in fast-paced and changing environments
  • ability to multitask and manage multiple concurrent tasks
  • effective relating to diverse community groups
  • ability to handle conflict professionally and resolve timely
  • previous customer service or sales experience
  • strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and Google Documents
  • high attention to accuracy and detail
  • flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • former YMCA experience utilizing SGA Sales preferred

Job Duties

  • Implement sales and membership strategies supporting new member recruitment and retention
  • create a member-focused culture with exemplary relationship-building skills
  • foster innovation and resolve problems ensuring member satisfaction
  • promote program and membership enrollment alongside marketing efforts
  • coordinate program registration logistics including phone, walk-in and web
  • ensure proper implementation and communication of member service procedures
  • assist in organizing membership events and represent YMCA at community events
