Job Requirements

  • minimum of 2 years in the restaurant business not including fast food with at least 1 year in a supervisory position
  • self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • ability to solve problems independently and as a team leader
  • understanding of wine and spirits products and sales
  • ability to follow food safety standards
  • willingness to lead by example with detail orientation
  • ability to read directions and manuals
  • extensive use of computer systems
  • ability to work extended hours on feet
  • ability to lift 50lbs
  • TN ABC card required
  • Serve Safe certification (may be obtained after hire)
  • verification of previous employment, references and background check will be conducted

Job Qualifications

  • 2 year college education or equivalent restaurant experience preferred
  • restaurant experience in full service required
  • management experience preferred
  • proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and email
  • ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • proficiency in Spanish encouraged
  • strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • knowledge of fine wine and spirits helpful
  • experience with accounting software and POS systems helpful
  • high energy and positive outlook
  • good sense of humor and maturity

Job Duties

  • Perform a variety of different functions throughout the work day
  • manage daily dining room operations to ensure guest satisfaction
  • coordinate service of servers, server assistants, and bussers
  • solve service problems promptly and effectively
  • manage opening shifts including staffing, kitchen coordination, reservations, daily training meetings, bookkeeping, and receiving
  • manage closing shifts including server checkouts, cash and deposits management, daily accounting reconciliation, and supervision of closing tasks
  • oversee specialty areas such as wine and spirits management, payroll, training, maintenance, purchasing, menu and POS management, marketing assistance, and special projects
