This role is a full-time, home-based position primarily serving on the East Coast as a Project Lead within the Meeting Services division at Parexel. The position entails managing all aspects of international pharmaceutical events, ensuring the delivery of seamless and high-quality meetings that meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders. The Project Lead will be part of a dedicated team of over 40 professionals focused on ensuring quality and compliance throughout the event lifecycle. The successful candidate will have at least three years of experience managing pharmaceutical events and familiarity with event technologies such as Cvent. Extensive travel, both domestic and international, is an integral part of the job as it involves on-site management and quality assurance of meetings and congresses.
The Project Lead is responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution, and post-event activities related to pharmaceutical meetings. This includes detailed project scoping, vendor relationship management, financial oversight, risk mitigation, and ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards and internal SOPs. The role demands a proactive approach to client relationship management, including managing expectations, providing status updates, and identifying opportunities for follow-on business. The Project Lead must exhibit strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a client-focused mindset. They will also serve as a key resource within the team, providing technical guidance and support while working collaboratively with managers, project leads, and clients to resolve issues and enhance project outcomes.
Moreover, the role involves extensive knowledge of both physical and virtual meeting management with the use of platforms and registration tools. The Project Lead will oversee logistics such as delegate travel and attendance, site visits, budget accuracy, and compliance with financial procedures. Monitoring metrics such as utilization, technical performance, and budget adherence are essential to driving team and project success. Core competencies required include integrity, teamwork, business analysis, client focus, and effective interpersonal communications. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree and demonstrate a proven track record in pharmaceutical meeting management or a related field. Job Requirements
