Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
- OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- 1 year experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
- Ability to conduct daily banquet floor walkthroughs
- Competence in managing budgets and vendor relationships
- Strong guest service orientation
- Capability to handle guest complaints and provide resolutions
- Commitment to Marriott's Gold Standards
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Excellent organizational and communication skills

Job Duties
- Assist in planning and execution of meetings and special events
- Assist in implementation of departmental strategies
- Ensure seamless turnover from sales to operations and back to sales
- Conduct daily banquet floor walkthroughs to ensure client satisfaction and quality standards
- Research and analyze competition products, pricing and services
- Develop working relationships with outside vendors and establish service agreements
- Assist in managing department budgets and controllable expenses
- Create upselling opportunities during event planning
- Interact with guests to obtain feedback and handle complaints
- Empower employees to deliver excellent customer service
- Focus on continuous improvement of guest satisfaction
