Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in event planning or sales in hospitality
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and external clients
  • Proficient in event management software and general office software
  • Availability to work onsite in Green Bay, WI
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field
  • Proven experience in event planning or sales within the hospitality industry
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency with event management software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiarity with budgeting and financial analysis related to event planning
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Entertain clients on site during the sourcing stage of proposal development
  • Collaborate with client to capture the vision and objective of their event
  • Lead direction for staffing levels of cross functional teams to deliver luxury events
  • Demonstrate and act as mentor to Sales Coordinator, hotel Coordinators, and hotel Supervisors
  • Drive incremental revenue by promoting high margin programming
  • Serve as on-site contact during programming and events
  • Partner with Corporate Group Sales team on pre-contracted site visits to increase event capture
  • Partner with clients to achieve property spend above contracted obligation
  • Deliver luxury programming and special events to increase rebooking rates
  • Work alongside Marketing Team to aid in executing correct public communication to sell events
  • Develop local and regional marketing prospecting program
  • Organize and execute weekly Banquet and Event Order meetings
  • Participate in departmental coverage as scheduled
  • Develop group quotes and negotiate with 3rd party providers
  • Communicate client revisions throughout the resort to promote guest experience
  • Create resource library for 3rd party vendors
  • Conduct post conference meetings providing profitability analysis
  • Participate in Manager On Duty program as assigned
  • Provide monthly event forecasts to accounting and banquet/catering teams
  • Post audit program profitability compared to Contracted Obligation
  • Generate proposals/contracts for one day events
  • Deliver banquet event orders and group resumes prior to group arrival
  • Submit group rooming list prior to group arrival
  • Follow up on all accounts receivable billing concerns
