Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • experience in hospitality, hotel, or conference center space preferred
  • experience in staffing, training, development, coaching, mentoring
  • ability to communicate complex information and convey performance expectations
  • leadership and team motivation skills
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • preferred experience within hospitality, hotel, and/or conference center space
  • experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention
  • ability to guide the exchange of sensitive and complicated information
  • leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness
  • in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Job Duties

  • Provide formal supervision to employees
  • monitor the training and development of staff
  • conduct performance evaluations and mentor
  • lead all aspects of the recruiting and hiring of new employees
  • coordinate and manage the team's daily activities
  • establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff
  • set and track staff and department deadlines
  • mentor and coach as needed
  • support other Event Managers on the account during high profile/large events
  • effectively manage safety processes and procedures to ensure team compliance
  • serve as primary contact with clients for meeting and events forecasts and strategies
  • troubleshoot and resolve client inquiries and complaints
  • maintain department budget and approve purchase orders for event supplies
  • implement improvements for event success including processes, procedures, and systems
  • review reports to measure productivity and present findings to management
  • ensure operations and vendors are aligned with location requirements
  • accountable for tracking department SLAs, KPIs, and benchmarks
  • monitor performance data and identify solutions for gaps
  • lead by example and model CBRE RISE values
  • influence parties of shared interests to reach agreement
  • identify and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues
