Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years experience in event management or related professional area
  • Alternatively, 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related major
  • At least 1 year experience in event management
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service abilities
  • Ability to work full-time on-site in Honolulu, Hawaii

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years experience in event management or related professional area
  • Alternatively, 2-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related major with at least 1 year experience in event management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate with various departments
  • Knowledge of event management trends and practices
  • Leadership experience in managing event teams

Job Duties

  • Prepares all event documentation and coordinates with sales, property departments and customers
  • Ensures events progress seamlessly following established procedures
  • Greets customers during the event phase and hands off to Event Operations team
  • Manages group room blocks and meeting space for assigned groups
  • Acts as liaison between field sales and customers throughout event process
  • Participates in customer site inspections and assists with sales as necessary
  • Handles billing accuracy and conducts bill reviews with clients prior to final processing
