Job Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a pastry kitchen, preferably in resorts, hotels, or bakeries
- Proficiency in doughs, creams, glazes, and plating techniques
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- Valid California Food Handler's Card
- Ability to carry, lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Capability to bend and stoop regularly
- Experience working with grills, ovens, and stovetops
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- 2+ years in pastry kitchen (resorts, hotels, or bakeries preferred)
- Proficiency in foundational techniques (doughs, creams, glazes) and plating
- Familiarity with dietary needs (gluten-free, vegan) is a plus
- Understanding of ingredient properties (flours, chocolates, extracts) and storage best practices
- Valid California Food Handler's Card (required)
- Team player with a strong work ethic and adaptability to flexible schedules (weekends/holidays)
- Passion for growth and culinary creativity
Job Duties
- Prepare and plate a variety of house-made desserts, pastries, and breads according to restaurant standards and recipes
- Maintain consistency in flavor, portion, and presentation for all pastry items
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment in compliance with health department regulations
- Assist in crafting custom desserts
- Maintain station setup, par levels, and inventory rotation
- Work with the culinary team to develop seasonal specials
- Operate and maintain kitchen tools like mixers, ovens, etc., adhering to safety protocols
