Job Description

Daniels Health is a leading provider of safe and sustainable healthcare waste management solutions. With a strong commitment to health and safety, Daniels Health delivers specialized services to healthcare facilities by collecting and disposing of medical waste, sharps containers, and other healthcare waste in a responsible and environmentally conscious manner. The company operates a modern fleet of vehicles and prides itself in ensuring the safety of its employees with comprehensive training and above-standard personal protective equipment (PPE). Daniels Health is recognized for its dedication to maintaining a safe working environment and exceptional customer service, which supports a stable work environment for its employees.

Located in Hayward, California, Daniels Health is currently seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Driver to join their team. This is a full-time permanent role with consistent hours, approximately 40 hours per week, working four 10-hour shifts from 2 AM to 12 PM, including one Saturday per month. This position offers a competitive non-negotiable hourly wage of $26 and comes with a lucrative $1,000 new hire bonus upon successful completion of the probation period.

The role involves operating a 26-foot box truck safely throughout the Hayward area to collect sharps and medical waste containers from healthcare customer locations. The driver will be responsible not only for the safe transportation and storage of these medical materials but also for providing exceptional customer service and building positive relationships with clients. The job demands a high level of autonomy, requiring the driver to manage their route efficiently while complying fully with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including logging hours and conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

This position requires physical strength for heavy lifting and the ability to prioritize and organize deliveries efficiently to meet tight schedules. Daniels Health emphasizes safety and training, offering well-maintained vehicles and extensive safety protocols to protect the driver and the community. Drivers must be confident in handling roadside inspections and compliant with safety audits, including passing a seven-year Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse review.

Working for Daniels Health presents a unique opportunity to be part of an essential service that is non-seasonal and stable, ensuring job security in a growing industry. Employees enjoy benefits from day one, including sick leave and vacation leave, as well as access to overtime opportunities. The company fosters a professional and supportive work environment where a positive, can-do attitude and customer focus are highly valued. Joining Daniels Health means contributing to public health and safety by responsibly managing medical waste while building a rewarding career with competitive compensation and excellent benefits.
