Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three months experience in clerical or customer service role
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to follow basic oral and written instructions
  • Ability to stand and walk up to 100 percent of the time
  • Ability to reach, bend, kneel and possess manual dexterity
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • Exposure to hazardous chemicals and blood borne pathogens
  • Use of personal protective equipment as required
  • Willingness to work overtime and extended hours as needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three months clerical or customer service experience preferably in medical or health provider environment
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Willingness to learn and adapt
  • Bilingual skills may be preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet donors and conduct registration procedures to verify donor suitability
  • Assist donors in completing health screening processes according to SOPs
  • Perform health screening tests including blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature, and finger stick for hematocrit and protein levels
  • Educate new donors on plasma donation and center policies following training
  • Register applicants and transfer donors as needed
  • Monitor donor reactions during and after pheresis and notify staff of concerns
  • Maintain accurate donor data in electronic management systems
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain clean work environment
  • Answer telephone inquiries and transfer calls to appropriate staff
  • Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information
  • Participate in cross-training to support center operations
  • Utilize bilingual skills if required
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
