Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 16 years of age
- Demonstrated ability to provide high level of customer service to physicians, patients, and internal/external customers
- Ability to work professionally with physicians, clinic staff, and patients in a timely and confidential manner
- Demonstrated analytical, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated flexibility and dedication to a team environment
- Effective communication skills
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- One year post-secondary education in business, medical assistant or nursing assistant program preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
- Fluency in Spanish preferred depending on position availability
Job Duties
- Serve as the first point of contact by greeting and welcoming patients and others in person and via telephone
- Answer incoming calls in a professional manner
- Check in and check out patients per established protocols
- Schedule patient appointments
- Register patients
- Collect co-pays and verify insurance information
- Handle referrals and support clerical tasks to ensure smooth office operations
