Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 16 years of age
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high level of customer service to physicians, patients, and internal/external customers
  • Ability to work professionally with physicians, clinic staff, and patients in a timely and confidential manner
  • Demonstrated analytical, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility and dedication to a team environment
  • Effective communication skills
  • High school education or equivalent preferred
  • One year post-secondary education in business, medical assistant or nursing assistant program preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred depending on position availability

Job Duties

  • Serve as the first point of contact by greeting and welcoming patients and others in person and via telephone
  • Answer incoming calls in a professional manner
  • Check in and check out patients per established protocols
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Register patients
  • Collect co-pays and verify insurance information
  • Handle referrals and support clerical tasks to ensure smooth office operations
