- One year of administrative healthcare experience or two years of administrative office experience
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong communication skills including written, verbal and nonverbal
- Customer service skills
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Experience with electronic medical records preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Job Duties
- Maintain appointment schedule template including alterations, deletions and additions
- Communicate schedule changes to appropriate staff members and physicians
- Coordinate front desk check-in process to ensure quality and efficiency
- Receive patients and verify necessary information and signatures per policies
- Answer telephone calls, assist callers pleasantly, take accurate messages and refer as needed
- Execute pre-authorizations required by insurance companies for tests and procedures
- Track referrals coming into the practice
- Maintain electronic medical records and paper charts following policies
- Perform daily activities such as message retrieval, fax handling, filing, photocopying and mail sorting
- Forward phones to answering service and notify about physicians on-call status
- Collect and reconcile co-pay collections and cash drawers within Epic system
- Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities within team and department
- Attend and actively participate in staff meetings
- Interact professionally with persons of all backgrounds and coordinate patient feedback efforts
- Perform additional tasks as requested by physicians or management
- Provide cross coverage and assist or perform chaperone duties for patient medical procedures as needed
