Job Requirements

  • post high school office procedures preferred
  • minimum one year of clerical and or receptionist experience or six months in a medical setting
  • customer service experience
  • degree or relevant certificate such as medical office assistant, medical assistant, health unit coordinator may be substituted for experience

  • customer service experience
  • certification or degree in medical office assisting, medical assisting, or health unit coordination is preferred
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to operate office equipment and software

Job Duties

  • greet patients and families as the first point of contact
  • answer phones and direct calls professionally
  • assist patients and families with scheduling and registration
  • enter charges and post payments accurately
  • perform batch balancing and cash reconciliation
  • operate various types of basic office equipment
  • maintain discretion and professionalism in all communications
