Job Requirements
- Minimum of 16 years of age
- Ability to provide high-level customer service
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills
- Dedication to flexibility and teamwork
- Availability for full-time, daytime training for three consecutive weeks
- Willingness to work Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Ability to perform face-to-face patient and public contact duties
- Capability to cross-train and float between desks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 16 years of age
- Demonstrated ability to provide high-level customer service to physicians, patients, and other internal and external customers
- Ability to work professionally and confidentially with physicians, clinic staff, and patients in a timely manner
- Demonstrated analytical, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills
- Flexibility and dedication to a team environment
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- One year post-secondary education or equivalent experience in business, medical assistant, or nursing assistant programs preferred
- Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant credentials preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel, preferred
- Fluency in Spanish preferred depending on position
Job Duties
- Serve as the first point of contact by greeting and welcoming patients and others in person, at the check-in desk, or via telephone
- Answer incoming calls professionally and check in or out patients according to established protocols
- Schedule patient appointments and register patients
- Obtain patient demographic and insurance information accurately
- Enter data into the electronic health record (EHR) system
- Collect point-of-service payments and obtain required regulatory forms
- Escort and provide wayfinding assistance to patients
- Cross-train and float to other administrative desks as required
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while meeting productivity and quality metrics
