  • Ability to provide high level of customer service
  • Ability to work professionally with physicians, clinic staff and patients in a timely, confidential manner
  • Demonstrated analytical, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility and dedication to team environment
  • Effective communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 16 years of age required
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service to physicians, patients and other internal or external customers
  • Ability to work professionally with physicians, clinic staff and patients in a timely, confidential manner
  • Demonstrated analytical, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility and dedication to a team environment
  • Effective communication skills
  • High school education or equivalent preferred
  • One year post-secondary education with coursework in business, medical assistant program or nursing assistant program or equivalent combination of education and experience in customer service or medical scheduling related capacity preferred
  • Nursing assistant or medical assistant preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel preferred
  • Depending on position available, fluency in Spanish preferred

Job Duties

  • Serve as the first point of contact by greeting and welcoming patients and others in person at the check-in desk or via telephone
  • Answer incoming calls in a professional manner
  • Check in and check out patients per established protocols
  • Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently
  • Register patients while ensuring all required documentation is collected
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information
  • Collaborate with physicians, clinic staff, and patients in a timely and professional manner
