Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- ability to adapt to patient needs and demonstrate accountability
- willingness to travel within a 30-minute radius
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- capable of managing multiple administrative tasks
- flexible schedule to accommodate additional hours or cross-covering
- commitment to HIPAA compliance and organizational standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs
- strong sense of accountability and patient focus
- dedication to teamwork and ongoing education
- prior receptionist or clerical experience in a medical office preferred
- experience with Epic software preferred
- CPR certification preferred
Job Duties
- Receives and directs all communication courteously and consistently
- adheres to HIPAA guidelines and office policy
- answers phone calls quickly and directs appropriately
- greets patients and visitors promptly, courteously, and helpfully
- assists patients with the sign-in process and responds promptly to patient needs
- supports financial responsibilities including billing, collections, and preparing bank deposits
- monitors office supply inventory and initiates ordering
- manages patient check-in process verifying demographic and insurance information
- collects copayments and balances
- ensures patient completes necessary paperwork
- manages patient check-out process including posting charges and payments
- promotes patient satisfaction through friendly interactions
- maintains accurate filing and record systems
- assembles new patient folders and manages records retrieval
- adapts work schedule to support practice needs and floats to various locations
- serves as a pre-loader for the EMR system
- performs other duties or projects as assigned
- adheres to organizational competencies and standards
