Job Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent
- 1 year of administrative healthcare experience or 2 years of administrative office experience
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong communication skills

- Ability to multi-task
- EMR experience preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Job Duties
- Maintain appointment schedule template including alterations, deletions, additions
- Communicate schedule changes to appropriate staff and physicians/providers
- Coordinate check-in process and front desk operations to ensure cost-effective and efficient quality services
- Receive patients at arrival and verify necessary information and signatures per policies
- Answer telephone calls, assist callers pleasantly, take accurate messages, and refer to appropriate personnel
- Maintain proper telephone etiquette with patients, companies, and healthcare team
- Execute necessary pre-authorizations as required by insurance for diagnostic tests and procedures
- Track referrals coming into the practice
- Maintain electronic and/or paper medical records following policies
- Perform daily administrative tasks including message retrieval, fax distribution, filing, photocopying, mail sorting
- Forward phones to answering service and notify on-call status of physicians
- Collect and reconcile co-pay and cash drawer payments within Epic system
- Participate in team and department quality improvement and evaluation activities
- Attend and actively participate in staff meetings
- Interact professionally and effectively with diverse patients and healthcare personnel
- Coordinate efforts to gain patient and family feedback and support interventions addressing needs
- Perform related duties and provide cross coverage as needed
- Assist or perform chaperone duties for patient medical procedures when required
