Job Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent
- 1 year of administrative healthcare experience or 2 years of administrative office experience
- Excellent organizational, communication, customer service and teamwork skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Experience with electronic medical records preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Professional communication skills

Job Duties
- Maintain appointment schedule template including alterations, deletions and additions
- Communicate schedule changes to appropriate staff and physicians/providers
- Coordinate check-in process and front desk operations to ensure quality and efficiency
- Receive patients at arrival and verify necessary information and signatures
- Answer telephone calls, assist callers pleasantly, take accurate messages and refer calls appropriately
- Execute necessary pre-authorizations required by insurance companies
- Track referrals coming into the practice
- Maintain electronic and paper medical records according to policies
- Manage daily administrative tasks such as message retrieval, fax distribution, filing, mailing
- Forward phones to answering service and notify on-call physicians
- Collect and reconcile co-payments and cash drawer transactions within Epic system
- Collaborate in quality improvement and evaluation activities
- Attend and actively participate in staff meetings
- Interact professionally and effectively with patients and diverse individuals
- Coordinate efforts for patient and family feedback using surveys and focus groups
- Perform additional tasks as requested by physicians or management
- Provide cross coverage as needed
- Assist or perform chaperone duties for patient medical procedures as needed
