Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • experience with electronic medical records and scheduling software
  • strong customer service skills
  • ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • willingness to work Monday-Thursday 11:00am-7:00pm and Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
  • basic knowledge of medical terminology and billing preferred
  • ability to use office technology such as computers, scanners, and credit card machines
  • ability to work under supervision and take constructive feedback
  • maintain professionalism and courteous demeanor at all times

Job Qualifications

  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling software
  • accurately and efficiently use technology in the office (computer, scanner, iPad, credit card machine, and software)
  • customer service and relations experience
  • superficial knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and neurology helpful but not required
  • previous clinical experience with medical billing practices and terminology (CPT and ICD10 codes) is a plus
  • willingness to take direction and corrections
  • ability to reason and remember names and instructions
  • professional manner and courteous attitude
  • ability to organize and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • experience using G-Suite products
  • comfortable taking initiative
  • high school graduate or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Verification of insurances and authorizations of visits
  • delegation and coordination of tasks with other medical receptionist, physical therapists, site directors and corporate management
  • accurately enter charges (copays, co-insurance and bill payments) and review daily patient payments
  • preparation and coordination of in-services and events with site director and corporate management
  • perform clerical duties such as taking inventory, ordering supplies, answering the telephone, and taking messages
  • assist patients with paperwork when necessary
  • communicate arrival of clients and help ensure timeliness of sessions
  • multi-task job tasks and responsibilities with ability to complete in an expected time frame
  • maintain a neat and organized workspace and ensure cleanliness within the facility
  • understand and assist in the patients plan of care regarding scheduling appointments, lost patients, and proactively rescheduling appointments
  • follow up and review daily reports and proactively communicate the need for a prescription, authorization, referral, or precertification to ensure no delays with patient care
