Job Description

MultiCare is a prominent healthcare network rooted in the Pacific Northwest with more than 140 years of dedication to serving communities through comprehensive medical care. Known for embracing diversity, inclusion, and a strong commitment to the well-being of employees and patients alike, MultiCare offers a workplace where individuals feel a genuine sense of belonging. Recognized for its partnerships with patients, families, and local neighborhoods, MultiCare integrates respect, integrity, kindness, and collaboration into its core values. The organization not only emphasizes excellent clinical care but also fosters career growth with competitive tuition assistance, award-winning residencies, and fellowships, creating an environment where employees' futures are continually supported. Furthermore, MultiCare prioritizes work-life balance and mental wellness through generous paid time off, employee assistance programs, and initiatives such as Code Lavender.

The Medical Receptionist position at MultiCare is a vital frontline role within its medical practices. Serving as the first in-person point of contact for patients, this position demands a professional, courteous, and adept individual who can manage a variety of front office duties seamlessly. These responsibilities include greeting patients warmly, managing phone inquiries efficiently, assisting families, scheduling appointments, registering patients, handling charge entries, posting payments, balancing batched transactions, and performing cash reconciliation. The role also requires familiarity with operating basic office equipment to maintain smooth daily operations.

This is an intermediate-level position that requires excellent customer service skills, good judgment, and discretion, given its high visibility within the clinic environment. The Medical Receptionist interacts not only with patients and their families but also with co-workers, physicians, and the general public, ensuring that the experience within the medical office is positive and professional. The work schedule is Monday through Friday during day shifts, with full-time employment (FTE 1.0) offered. Salary ranges from $21.47 to $31.20 per hour, influenced by factors such as skills, experience, certifications, and education, with consideration given to union contracts where applicable.

Working at MultiCare means benefiting from a comprehensive package of medical, dental, and retirement benefits, paired with the supportive culture of belonging for all employees through various resource groups, inclusion initiatives, and outreach programs. Employees can also enjoy the scenic Pacific Northwest lifestyle, blending natural beauty, adventure, and strong community ties. The Medical Receptionist role is attractive for those seeking a meaningful career in healthcare administration within a stable and supportive organization that values both its workforce and the community’s health.
