Job Duties

  • Maintain appointment schedule template
  • coordinate the ongoing operation of the check-in process and front desk
  • answer telephone calls and assist callers in a pleasant manner
  • execute necessary insurance pre-authorizations
  • maintain electronic and paper medical records
  • perform daily clerical activities including message retrieval, fax distribution, filing, and mail sorting
  • collect and reconcile co-pay collections and cash drawers
  • collaborate in quality improvement and evaluation activities
  • utilize effective and professional communication methods with diverse populations
  • perform additional tasks as assigned by physicians or management
  • provide cross coverage as needed
  • assist and perform chaperone duties for patient medical procedures when required
