Job Description
New York City's largest dermatology practice operates with over 50 locations spanning Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island, recently expanding into Delaware and Philadelphia. This rapidly growing dermatology group is renowned for delivering high-quality skin care services that cater to a diverse patient population across multiple urban and suburban settings. Their commitment to excellence in dermatological care makes them a leading choice for patients seeking both medical and cosmetic dermatology services. They emphasize patient satisfaction, clinical expertise, and advanced treatment modalities within a supportive, patient-centered environment.
The practice is currently expanding its team and is seeking a dedicated and friendly Dermatology Receptionist. This position presents an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start or grow their career within the medical field, especially those passionate about patient care and administrative functions in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will bring at least one year of experience as a medical receptionist, proficient communication abilities, and strong organizational skills. You will be a vital part of the front desk operations, serving as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, assisting with insurance inquiries, and ensuring smooth office functioning.
The role requires availability to work on weekends, which demonstrates the practice's need for flexible staffing to accommodate an extended service schedule. Candidates with dermatology experience or those familiar with eClinicalWorks software will find themselves better prepared to excel in this role. The practice offers competitive hourly compensation at $18.50, alongside a comprehensive benefits package that supports employees' health, well-being, and career development, which includes medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401K plan, sick leave, and innovative programs like educational stipends for employees pursuing advanced medical degrees.
This position is integral to maintaining the high standards of patient care for which the dermatology group is known. As a receptionist, you will engage directly with patients, providers, and staff, requiring excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This is a fantastic opening for candidates eager to contribute to a reputable medical practice while advancing their administrative skills and experience in a healthcare environment that values growth and professional development.
