Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual fluency in English and Cantonese
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a medical clinic or similar environment
- Ability and willingness to travel locally and regionally up to 10% of the time
- Strong customer service orientation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic knowledge of medical insurance and electronic medical record systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented work approach
- Positive and professional attitude
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduation from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a medical clinic or similar environment
- BLS for Healthcare Providers preferred
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Working knowledge of medical insurance and/or EMR systems
- Skilled in operating phones, computers, software and IT systems
- Ability to communicate professionally and courteously
- Detail-oriented
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Strong listening skills
- Positive and professional attitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Spoken and written fluency in English and Cantonese
- Ability and willingness to travel locally and regionally up to 10% of the time
Job Duties
- Interacts appropriately with patients and records information while greeting, checking-in, checking-out or scheduling appointments for patients
- Conducts lobby checks to ensure organization and cleanliness
- Serves as the gatekeeper for PCP and Specialists schedules including ensuring Top 40 patients are scheduled every 13 days
- Utilizes computer equipment and programs to add new patient information, prints out relevant forms, schedules appointments, responds to emails and generates new patient packets
- Conducts love calls, mails birthday and greeting cards to patients commemorating special events
- Answers telephones, takes detailed and accurate messages, and directs messages to the appropriate individual
- Clearly communicates information about ChenMed clinical personnel to patients and others
- Verifies patient insurance and collects copays for services
- Assists with scheduling follow-up and specialist referral appointments
- Escorts patients to exam rooms and ensures their comfort and well-being prior to leaving
- Acts as HEDIS champion for the PCP by monitoring HEDIS needs for scheduled patients
- Presents patients with customer service surveys during check out and escalates if needed
- Participates in daily and weekly huddles to provide patient details
- Regulates and monitors aspects of transportation including driver lists, medication and grocery deliveries, and scheduling Uber or Lyft rides for patients
