Job Description

CenterWell Senior Primary Care is a part of CenterWell, a Humana company, which is a leading healthcare services organization dedicated to providing integrated, accessible, and personalized healthcare to seniors. CenterWell Senior Primary Care specializes in delivering proactive and preventive medical care tailored specifically for the elderly population. Their unique care model focuses heavily on personalized experiences, dedicating ample time to listening, understanding, and addressing factors that impact patient well-being beyond just physical health. The integrated care teams include physicians, nurses, behavioral health specialists, and other professionals who work collaboratively to improve patient health outcomes by spending significantly more time with patients compared to traditional healthcare settings.

CenterWell is known for being the largest provider of senior-focused primary care in the country and offers a wide range of services including wellness visits, chronic condition management, physical exams, screenings, and minor injury treatments. As a company under the umbrella of Humana Inc., CenterWell embraces a mission of whole-person health that encompasses physical, emotional, and social wellness, placing patients at the core of their approach. Their commitment to compassionate and comprehensive healthcare ensures that seniors receive care that is based on respect and individualized attention, which has helped them build a strong reputation in the healthcare community.

The Medical Receptionist role at CenterWell Senior Primary Care’s Kissimmee, FL location is a key front-office position that fosters positive patient interactions and smooth clinic operations. This full-time position involves operating switchboards and multi-line phones, managing communications, greeting visitors, scheduling and administrative tasks, and supporting the overall office environment. The role requires effective multitasking in a fast-paced, high-volume setting and demands excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and professionalism to ensure that patients and visitors feel welcomed and attended to.

Additional responsibilities may include issuing visitor passes, maintaining logs, responding to inquiries, booking meeting rooms, typing, organizing and distributing mail, and handling courier packages. The Medical Receptionist will work under close supervision following established policies and procedures, with minimal room for deviation. The position is patient-facing and therefore requires participation in Humana’s Tuberculosis screening program. Local travel may be required within the area, and mileage expenses will be reimbursed. This role offers an estimated salary range of $38,000 to $45,800 per year and is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on individual and company performance.

Ideal candidates will have at least one year of professional experience in a medical receptionist or front-office role dealing directly with patients. Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills are essential, with candidates expected to speak, read, and write fluently in both languages. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and basic computer knowledge are required. Preferred qualifications include experience with HEDIS measures, electronic medical records, and prior work in geriatric healthcare settings. This role offers ample opportunities for career growth and cross-training within the company, emphasizing teamwork and continuous learning.

CenterWell offers a competitive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance starting from day one, paid time off including holidays and volunteer time, parental and caregiver leave, 401(k) with employer match, tuition assistance, scholarship opportunities for dependents, recognition pay, and more. Commitment to equal opportunity employment and diversity is a key value at Humana, reflecting a supportive and inclusive workplace culture. This position is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals seeking to make a meaningful impact in senior healthcare while advancing their careers in a leading healthcare organization.
