Job Description

American Family Care (AFC) stands as one of the largest and most respected primary and urgent care providers in the United States, operating with a patient-first approach that serves millions annually. Established as a leading healthcare company, AFC focuses on offering accessible, high-quality medical care through its state-of-the-art centers that operate seven days a week on a walk-in basis. The clinics specialize in treating acute illnesses and injuries, workers' compensation cases, and occupational medicine needs, featuring onsite laboratories and in-house X-ray facilities. With over 250 clinics nationwide and a network of 800 physicians, AFC continues to expand its reach while maintaining an economical, kind, and caring healthcare environment. Recognized by Inc. magazine as one of the fastest-growing companies in the country, AFC prides itself on providing patient-centric healthcare that is both convenient and comprehensive.

The position being offered is for a patient-facing role at a franchised AFC location, involving responsibilities critical to maintaining smooth operations in a clinical setting. This position requires the individual to efficiently check patients in and out, verify insurance information, collect payments, and maintain precise patient records and accounts. As a key front desk representative, the employee will manage multiple administrative duties including handling medical billing, insurance follow-ups, and accounts receivable tasks. The job also involves managing patient documentation, balancing daily financial transactions, and assisting patients with appointment scheduling and medical documentation requests.

This role demands a detail-oriented and organized individual who can handle multitasking in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining a courteous and positive demeanor with patients and colleagues. Compensation for the position ranges from $18.00 to $30.00 per hour. Working at AFC provides an opportunity to grow within a nationally recognized healthcare provider that values its employees and offers a supportive and flexible work atmosphere. The company's mission is to deliver the best possible healthcare with respect and kindness, making this role ideal for those looking to contribute meaningfully to patient care and operational excellence in urgent and primary care settings. Candidates joining AFC will find a workplace dedicated to professional development and patient satisfaction in a rewarding and stable industry.
