Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience as a healthcare receptionist preferred
- knowledge of medical terminology and billing codes
- ability to work in a high volume setting
- excellent communication skills
- proficiency in scheduling software and insurance verification procedures
- ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
Job Qualifications
- Previous healthcare receptionist experience preferred
- experience with intake of referrals
- insurance verification knowledge
- knowledge of medical terminology
- familiarity with billing codes and different insurance plans
Job Duties
- Greeting and checking in patients
- scheduling appointments in person and via phone with other offices and patients directly
- verifying insurance and making authorization calls
- assisting with billing follow-up in a high volume setting
- managing referral intakes
- maintaining accurate patient records
- providing excellent customer service
