Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience as a healthcare receptionist preferred
  • knowledge of medical terminology and billing codes
  • ability to work in a high volume setting
  • excellent communication skills
  • proficiency in scheduling software and insurance verification procedures
  • ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently

Job Qualifications

  • Previous healthcare receptionist experience preferred
  • experience with intake of referrals
  • insurance verification knowledge
  • knowledge of medical terminology
  • familiarity with billing codes and different insurance plans

Job Duties

  • Greeting and checking in patients
  • scheduling appointments in person and via phone with other offices and patients directly
  • verifying insurance and making authorization calls
  • assisting with billing follow-up in a high volume setting
  • managing referral intakes
  • maintaining accurate patient records
  • providing excellent customer service
