Job Requirements

  • minimum high school degree
  • one to two years experience in healthcare or medical practice preferred
  • knowledge of medical terminology desirable
  • ability to operate computer and typewriter
  • knowledge of third party insurance regulations and billing procedures
  • excellent customer service skills
  • strong communication skills
  • high level of patience and tact
  • professional attitude
  • initiative and assertiveness in problem solving

Job Qualifications

  • minimum high school diploma
  • vocational training in medical receptionist and medical billing preferred
  • one to two years experience in healthcare or medical practice preferred
  • knowledge of medical terminology desirable
  • proficiency or willingness to learn computer skills
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • professional demeanor and appearance

Job Duties

  • greet and assist patients and visitors
  • manage patient appointment scheduling and confirmations
  • handle communication with patients, families, physicians offices, insurance carriers, and hospital departments
  • maintain accurate patient records and manage data entry
  • assist with insurance billing procedures and referral processes
  • provide excellent customer service and maintain professional demeanor
  • manage reception area and coordinate with clinical staff as needed
