Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years insurance background
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel between office locations
  • Knowledge of Electronic Health Records systems preferred
  • Attention to detail

  • Two years insurance background
  • One year previous medical office experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multitask
  • Completion of a certified medical assistant or receptionist program
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient service

Job Duties

  • Greeting every patient with a smile
  • Completing and updating patients' insurance information with accuracy and efficiency
  • Utilizing the Electronic Health Record system to complete the registration process and facilitate patients' visits
  • Completing the check-out process by assisting patients with scheduling future appointments and providing referral information
  • Verifying insurance eligibility to ensure timely billing
  • Collecting co-pays and deductibles as directed by billing policies
  • Answering appointment lines and checking the Email appointment request system
  • Scheduling appointments at office sites or diagnostic departments
  • Traveling to different office locations to cover call-ins if needed
