Job Requirements
- Minimum of high school diploma or GED
- Previous experience working with patients
- Basic computer skills for internet research and data entry
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Availability to work at Bethesda, MD location

Job Duties
- Perform generic clerical skills such as greeting and directing visitors
- Field phone calls
- Schedule and cancel patient appointments in computerized systems
- Process patient arrival in accordance with department guidelines
- Notify appropriate care providers of patient arrival
- Open and close reception area
- Make arrangements for interpreter and transport services
- Assist other team members and fill in as needed
- Request and stock medical, pharmaceutical, and office supplies
- Order X-rays and perform monthly safety inspections
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Log consults and enter data
- Produce and distribute reports
- Collect and enter patient wait and processing time statistics
- Issue keys and control key inventory
