The current opening at ProHealth Physicians is for a full-time Medical Receptionist based in Vernon, CT, at their 206 Talcottville Rd location, with some flexibility to provide coverage at other nearby sites as needed. Working Monday through Friday in an 8-hour shift between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm, the role is ideal for someone who is friendly, detail-oriented, and dedicated to patient service. The Medical Receptionist plays a critical part as the first point of contact for patients, managing the check-in and check-out process, handling inquiries by phone, and scheduling appointments using standardized protocols. This position requires the use of electronic health records (EHR) systems for documenting patient communications and managing administrative work queues, making proficiency in healthcare technology essential.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or higher
- 1+ years of receptionist or customer service experience
- intermediate level of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
- access to reliable transportation and a valid US driver's license

Job Duties
- Conduct check-in and check-out process
- answer incoming calls and use EHR to document details of patient inquiries
- conduct outreach to patients requiring appointments or service follow-up
- schedule appointments using standard scheduling protocols
- manage administrative in-basket pools and work queues
- scan documents into the EHR per standard protocols
- balance payments and prepare deposits
- protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information
- provide coverage at other ProHealth locations on an ad hoc basis
- perform other duties as assigned
