The Role: This full-time Receptionist position supports patient care and treatment processes at the Fort Belvoir, VA location. It offers a competitive hourly wage of $19.98, supplemented by a Health and Wellness pay of $4.93 per hour worked in lieu of traditional benefits. Job Duties

  • Perform receptionist duties and other various clerical tasks to assist staff members as necessary
  • answer inquiries, verify and obtain information for general public, customers, visitors and other interested parties and update the Data system if needed
  • verify patient information and make corrections if needed with each request for an outpatient visit
  • register new patients in the Composite Health Care system (CHCS)
  • record and maintain accurate records per AR 40-66 and use the electronic medical record system (AHLTA)
  • prepare daily end of day reports and utilize computer data systems
  • input patient information and book appointments with appropriate codes
  • maintain data manually and input later when system is down
  • ensure all treatment requested by the provider has been scheduled and reschedule appointments when necessary
  • initiate telephone consultations or Patient Communication Forms and triage as needed
  • advise patients on secure messaging and online access for laboratory results
  • manage waiting lists and notify patients when appointments become available
  • greet visitors, verify eligibility, and check-in patients
  • scan necessary documents into HAIMS
  • communicate patient needs to healthcare team
  • screen walk-in patients and coordinate appointments
  • answer telephone calls, take messages and refer callers appropriately
  • resolve administrative complaints and provide assistance to patients
  • assure providers have appointment rosters, medical records and obtain requested patient information
  • maintain and stock front desk forms
  • assist with other duties as assigned
