Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience with electronic health records and scheduling systems
- Proficiency in multi-line phone systems and general office equipment
- Ability to work an assigned schedule with flexibility for coverage between the hours of 7:30 AM - 8:00 PM
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience with electronic health records and scheduling systems
- Proficiency in multi-line phone systems and general office equipment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with health insurance verification processes
- Medical terminology certification preferred
- Ability to work an assigned schedule with flexibility for coverage between the hours of 7:30 AM - 8:00 PM
Job Duties
- Greet and welcome all patients, clients, and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner
- Answer a multi-line phone system and direct calls appropriately
- Provide general information about services, procedures, and policies
- Respond to basic inquiries from patients, providers, and other departments
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments using the electronic scheduling system
- Maintain provider schedules and coordinate with clinical teams
- Document appointment details accurately in the electronic health record
- Verify patient eligibility for services and collect appropriate payments and co-pays
- Ensure all patients complete necessary consent forms and acknowledgments
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times
- Assist with administrative projects as assigned
- Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions
