This particular opportunity is for a Medical Receptionist on a full-time temporary contract basis with one of Yoh's well-known medical center clients located in San Jose, CA 95119. The contract is set to start as soon as possible, lasting for at least three months and with a potential for extension. The position offers a competitive pay range between $26.00 and $28.00 per hour. This opening is ideal for a seasoned administrative healthcare professional eager to join the employee health (occupational health) department of one of the largest integrated healthcare systems in the nation.

As the Medical Receptionist, you will be the crucial first point of contact for patients visiting the occupational health department. Your role involves delivering outstanding front-line support by greeting patients, checking them in and out, managing patient appointments using the EPIC electronic health record system, and handling phone calls including new injury intakes. You will be responsible for sorting incoming faxes and mail, coordinating communication across multiple departments, and processing workers' compensation forms and consents. You will also handle copay collections for services such as Occupational Health Services and Platelet Rich Plasma therapies. This role requires not only excellent administrative skills but also the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, exhibiting a positive and professional attitude at all times.

Working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, this position provides a stable daytime schedule without nights, weekends, or holidays, ensuring a great work-life balance for the candidate. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least three years of recent experience in healthcare administrative support
  • up to date 2 Step TB test (PPD) with one test within the last 2 years and another within 90 days
  • proof of immunization or titer records for MMR and Varicella
  • current flu shot
  • recent yearly physical
  • demonstrated proficiency with EPIC software
  • strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Job Duties

  • manage company's in basket folders including AACCs KPATH, CC Charts, staff messages, and online messages
  • process TEAMS booking requests from case coordinators, physical therapists, occupational therapists, acupuncturists, and reporters
  • process provider cancellations
