The role of Medical Receptionist within the Pulmonary team at Park Nicollet Specialty Center is pivotal in ensuring an exceptional patient experience. As the initial point of contact for patients and visitors, the Medical Receptionist provides essential front desk and administrative support that helps maintain smooth departmental operations. This part-time regular position involves greeting patients courteously, managing appointment schedules, collecting co-pays, and processing referrals, thereby contributing significantly to the overall efficiency of the clinical services offered. The receptionist is also responsible for managing incoming calls, adhering to department-specific call center protocols to ensure timely and effective communication with patients. Beyond clerical responsibilities, this role demands a commitment to patient confidentiality and adherence to privacy standards to protect patient rights at all times.
Working hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with every Tuesday off, providing a stable schedule for those seeking part-time employment. Compensation ranges from $19.54 to $29.32 hourly, based on the candidate’s education, experience, and skills. The Medical Receptionist must be proficient in operating various office equipment such as telephones, headsets, printers, and fax machines, and demonstrate strong computer and keyboarding skills. Knowledge of medical terminology and experience in a healthcare setting are preferred but not mandatory. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and a compassionate approach to patient interactions.
Park Nicollet offers a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees that includes medical and dental insurance, retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, an employee assistance program, and access to an onsite clinic. These offerings highlight the organization’s investment in the total health and professional growth of its workforce. Joining the Pulmonary team as a Medical Receptionist at Park Nicollet means becoming a partner in delivering high-quality, compassionate care while enjoying a work environment that values every team member’s contribution and well-being.
