Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • one year certificate from college or technical school in front office support for medical settings preferred
  • minimum three years front desk or customer service experience
  • medical office experience preferred
  • flexible availability for weekends and weekdays
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to manage multiple tasks
  • professionalism and respectfulness
  • problem-solving ability
  • commitment to maintaining annual competencies

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Organizes and maintains patient chart filing system
  • answers telephone and directs calls or initiates triage slips
  • schedules appointments and conducts reminder calls
  • greets and directs patients, salespeople, and visitors
  • registers patients and updates records
  • coordinates referrals through insurance and specialists
  • prepares billing and processes payments
  • collects payments and reconciles cash reports
  • promotes quality improvement and accuracy
  • identifies and solves problems timely
  • demonstrates exceptional interpersonal and listening skills
  • conducts self professionally and respectfully
  • maintains annual competencies
  • manages difficult situations with strong customer service orientation
  • performs other duties as assigned
