Premise Health is currently seeking a PRN Medical Office Receptionist to join their Health Center in Henderson, NV. This role is a part-time, as needed (PRN) position that offers competitive pay ranging from $19.20 to $24.00 per hour, with exact compensation influenced by experience, qualifications, and geographic location. The Medical Office Receptionist serves as a critical support role within the Health Center, providing frontline customer service and administrative assistance that contributes to delivering excellent patient care.
In this role, the Medical Office Receptionist will be responsible for managing patient charts, scheduling appointments, handling patient registrations, and coordinating referrals. A key aspect of the position involves clear and professional communication with patients, medical personnel, salespeople, and visitors to ensure smooth facility operations and a welcoming environment. The receptionist is also tasked with financial functions, including preparing billing documents and collecting payments, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Beyond administrative and clerical duties, the Medical Office Receptionist is expected to exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills, professionalism, and a strong customer service orientation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to solve problems promptly, handle sensitive situations tactfully, and maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- one year certificate from college or technical school with concentration in front office support for medical settings preferred
- at least three years experience in a front desk or customer service related field required
- experience in a medical office preferred

Job Duties
- Organizes and maintains a filing system for patient charts, including generating chart numbers, filing, and pulling charts
- answers telephone and either responds to inquiry, directs caller to appropriate personnel, or initiates a triage slip for response by medical personnel
- schedules appointments and enters appointment date and time into computerized scheduler
- conducts reminder calls to all patients
- greets and directs patients, salespeople, and visitors
- registers patients by verifying that patient's record is up to date and accurate
- makes appropriate changes in computer system and on patient's chart
- coordinates referrals for patients through insurance and other physician offices or specialists
- prepares all billings in computerized system for processing by finance
- collects payment from patients and reconciles daily cash reports
- looks for ways to improve and promote quality
- demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
- ability to identify and solve problems in a timely manner
