The organization is dedicated to employing proven and leading-edge technologies such as robotic surgery, immunotherapy, and radiation therapy to deliver superior patient care. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, Oregon Urology Institute serves a diverse patient population, addressing a wide range of urological conditions through specialized, patient-centered treatment plans.

The Institute is currently seeking a temporary Per Diem Medical Front Office Receptionist to join its dynamic team. This role plays a critical part in the welcoming and initial support of patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience from the moment patients enter the facility. The Medical Front Office Receptionist is responsible for greeting patients and visitors warmly, managing the check-in process, updating electronic medical records (EMR), handling payments, and scheduling appointments. Given the fast-paced nature of the healthcare environment, this position requires not only excellent communication and organizational skills but also the ability to multitask and adapt quickly. This temporary role is scheduled for a duration of 6 to 8 months, providing valuable support to the front office during this period.

This opportunity is ideal for individuals who take pride in delivering exceptional customer service and have a passion for supporting healthcare operations. The Medical Front Office Receptionist will collaborate closely with healthcare providers and nursing staff to coordinate patient care activities effectively. The scope of responsibilities includes scheduling laboratory tests and outpatient procedures, addressing patient inquiries about appointments and testing, and performing assigned special projects as directed by supervisors or management. Oregon Urology Institute places a strong emphasis on creating a respectful and inclusive work environment, free from discrimination and harassment, making it a workplace where employees are treated fairly and equitably.

Candidates for this position are expected to possess a high school diploma or equivalent and demonstrate excellent patient service skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities are essential, alongside proficiency in telephone communication and the capability to handle multiple tasks in a busy healthcare setting. Preference is given to those with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and familiarity with healthcare insurance processes. Experience with Windows-based Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Practice Management (PM) systems is highly desirable.

Oregon Urology Institute's temporary Medical Front Office Receptionist position not only offers a chance to work in a cutting-edge medical environment but also the opportunity to develop one’s skills within a supportive team and contribute meaningfully to patient care.
