Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- one year certificate from college or technical school with concentration in front office support for medical settings preferred
- at least three years experience in front desk or customer service related field required
- experience in a medical office preferred

Job Duties
- Organizes and maintains a filing system for patient charts, including generating chart numbers, filing, and pulling charts
- answers telephone and responds to inquiries, directs caller or initiates a triage slip
- schedules appointments and enters appointment details into computerized scheduler
- conducts reminder calls to patients
- greets and directs patients, salespeople, and visitors
- registers patients by verifying and updating patient records
- coordinates referrals through insurance and other physician offices or specialists
- prepares all billings in computerized system for finance processing
- collects payment from patients and reconciles daily cash reports
- identifies and solves problems in a timely manner
- demonstrates exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
- conducts self professionally with respect and consideration
- follows through on commitments
- performs and maintains annual competencies
- may perform other duties as assigned
