The organization has been recognized as one of NPT's Best Non-Profits to Work For, boasting over six years of accolades that highlight its supportive work environment and dedication to both patients and employees. This full-time opportunity is for the role of Patient Experience Expert I, also known as Front Desk Receptionist, based on a structured schedule primarily Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Friday 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, including bi-monthly rotation for extended hours on weekdays and weekends. The pay rate ranges from $21.25 to $24.43 hourly, depending on experience, reflecting competitive compensation within the healthcare non-profit sector.
In this role, you will be the welcoming first point of contact for patients coming to CAN Community Health. Your responsibilities include ensuring accurate patient registration and scheduling appointments, maintaining clear and professional communication so that patients experience respectful and coordinated access to care. You will also handle patient payments, insurance verification, billing inquiries, and work closely with the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team to resolve discrepancies in payment postings. This position requires professionalism, confidentiality, and a thorough understanding of billing policies and insurance procedures, especially as they align with the organization's mission and state and federal billing regulations. Beyond transactional duties, this role is vital in representing CAN Community Health's commitment to patient care and compassionate service, helping maintain the trusting relationships that drive positive health outcomes. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about healthcare administration, patient advocacy, and working in a mission-driven environment that offers career growth opportunities, paid training, certification support, and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans with a generous company match, and tuition reimbursement plans. This dynamic and supportive work culture encourages employees to develop professionally while making a meaningful impact in their communities.
