Job Duties
- Greet and register patients in a friendly and service-oriented manner
- Obtain or verify proper insurance and patient information
- Collect signatures and ensure accuracy and completion of necessary documentation
- Collect and log all co-pays and fees
- Answer and transfer incoming phone calls
- Schedule, reschedule or cancel appointments
- Confirm appointments and notify staff of changes
- Provide patient orientation for preparatory and safety protocols
- Give directions to facilities if needed
- Coordinate with back-office staff for timely patient care
- Safeguard patient property and health information
- Adhere to company policies regarding medication security
- Exhibit professional behavior toward patients and coworkers
- Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
