Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in medical front desk or customer service role
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • knowledge of EMR systems preferred
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to handle confidential information
  • bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • some college or medical office coursework preferred
  • previous experience in a medical front desk, receptionist, or customer service role
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
  • bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Greet patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism
  • answer and direct phone calls
  • schedule appointments
  • manage patient check-in and check-out
  • verify insurance information
  • assist patients with registration paperwork
  • collect and process co-pays, donations, or sliding scale fees
  • maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • coordinate with medical staff to ensure patient flow and timely care
  • provide information about clinic services, programs, and community resources
  • handle confidential patient information in compliance with HIPAA
  • support front office operations including filing, scanning, and administrative tasks
