Job Description
Our client is a dedicated nonprofit healthcare organization committed to providing high-quality and accessible medical services to underserved populations in Albuquerque. With a mission centered on compassionate and respectful care, the organization ensures that every patient receives medical attention without discrimination or bias. This healthcare institution stands out for its inclusive approach, serving individuals from diverse backgrounds and circumstances. They prioritize creating a welcoming environment where patients feel valued and supported throughout their healthcare journey. Through community engagement and patient-centered services, the organization continues to build trust and improve health outcomes in the Albuquerque area.
The role of Medical Front Desk Coordinator is crucial in supporting the clinic's daily operations while embodying the organization’s mission of compassionate care. Serving as the first point of contact, the Medical Front Desk Coordinator warmly greets patients, visitors, and community members, providing a positive and professional impression of the clinic. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage multiple duties in a busy medical environment. The Coordinator is responsible for managing patient appointments, verifying insurance information, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records within the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely care delivery.
Within this role, the Coordinator also offers vital support by providing patients with information about clinic services, programs, and community resources. This enhances patient engagement and connects individuals to the broader support network available through the clinic. Compliance with HIPAA regulations is paramount, as the Coordinator handles sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism. Administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and other front office operations are part of the daily responsibilities, contributing to the overall efficiency of the clinic.
This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the community while working in a supportive and collaborative team environment. The organization provides competitive nonprofit pay ranging from $15 to $16 per hour, along with professional development and training opportunities that support career growth. Employees benefit from being part of a mission-driven team focused on health equity and compassionate care delivery. Candidates who are patient-focused, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced setting will find this role rewarding and well-aligned with their skills and values. Bilingual abilities, especially in English and Spanish, are highly preferred, reflecting the diverse population served by the clinic. Joining this team means contributing directly to improving health outcomes and access to care for underserved communities in Albuquerque.
