Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Less than one year of customer service, administrative or related experience required
- Be at minimum a good fit for the job as determined by the Talent Sorter assessment preferred
- Must have or be eligible to obtain a valid driver's license and driving record within Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures
- Ability to key 30 words per minute with accuracy
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to use a computer, including Windows-based software and email
- Ability to use all necessary office equipment including facsimile machines, calculators, postage machines, and copiers
- Ability to work with handicapped individuals
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in a receptionist position or with medical front office procedures preferred
- Understanding of medical reimbursement and terminology preferred
- Ability to key 30 words per minute with accuracy
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to use computer software including Windows-based programs and email
- Ability to use office equipment such as facsimile machines, calculators, postage machines, and copiers
- Ability to work with handicapped individuals

Job Duties
- Provide the highest level of customer service to patients, fellow employees, and referral sources
- Maintain accurate and complete patient files ensuring compliance with Hanger policies
- Ensure privacy and security of protected health information per HIPAA rules
- Assist with patient follow-up as directed
- Support quality assurance initiatives to ensure patient satisfaction with Patient Care Center services
- Enter patient demographics and insurance verifications accurately
- Efficiently manage multiple phone lines
- Record clear, concise, and accurate documentation
- File patient charts and other documentation following established guidelines
- Coordinate scheduling to ensure proper coverage of patient appointments and out-of-office calls
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned
