The Media Clerk position at San Diego Mesa College is an essential classified role within the Library Learning Resource Center. This full-time, 12-month position, operating at 1.0 FTE with a salary range of $5,389.17 monthly based on Range 14 of the Classified salary schedule, entails providing critical clerical and media technical support to enhance library services. The selected candidate will deliver superior customer service at circulation and help desks, support the check-in and check-out process for library materials, and assist patrons with printing and other needs. This role requires managing and maintaining a media collection, performing minor equipment maintenance, and supporting the distribution and processing of instructional materials.

Beyond typical clerical responsibilities, the Media Clerk will train and supervise student assistants and hourly personnel, coordinate scheduling, and conduct basic orientations. The role demands organizational skills to maintain order and cleanliness in library spaces and involves preparing requisitions and correspondence. Employees must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs. The position is classified as non-exempt under FLSA and may accrue overtime hours. Job Duties

  • Deliver exceptional customer service at circulation and help desk areas
