The role demands proficiency in interpreting technical and wiring diagrams, using diagnostic tools like multimeters and megohmmeters, and troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical systems. A good understanding of 3 phase 480V and single phase 120V electrical systems is also necessary.

Mechanic II should be comfortable with physical work involving lifting, bending, and operating mechanical components, always adhering to safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE). The role also involves documenting maintenance work and supporting inventory management through part identification and requisitioning via basic computer systems. Job Requirements

  • Technical Diploma or minimum 3 years relevant industrial experience in electromechanical functions
  • Experience with 3 phase 480V and single phase 120V electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical and wiring diagrams
  • Skilled in troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Experience using diagnostic instruments including multimeters, megohmmeters, and basic shop tools
  • Foundational computer skills for documentation
  • Ability to work safely in an industrial workshop environment using personal protective equipment

Job Qualifications

  • Technical Diploma or equivalent industrial experience
  • Relevant experience in electromechanical functions within airline, military, oilfield, automotive, or electronics industries
  • Preferred certifications such as A/C Certification, Electrical Maintenance, or Stationary Engineer Certification
  • Experience working with three phase 480V and single phase 120V electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation
  • Capability to troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Experience using diagnostic instruments such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and hi pot testers
  • Foundational computer skills for maintenance documentation and reporting
  • Knowledge of and ability to work safely in an industrial workshop environment

Job Duties

  • Performing equipment maintenance, repairs, and servicing activities to ensure operational readiness
  • Inspecting equipment to identify faults, deviations, or wear conditions and recommending corrective actions
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, and parts lists to complete assigned tasks
  • Using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, megohmmeters, hi pot testers, and other basic instruments
  • Troubleshooting hydraulic circuits and resolving system faults promptly and accurately
  • Following formal maintenance procedures, work instructions, and standard operating practices
  • Documenting maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment status using basic computer systems
  • Supporting inventory management activities including part identification and requisitioning
  • Conducting all work activities in alignment with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements, and Baker Hughes Core Values
